However, the camera turns on, the mode dial works, the zoom ring and the shutter work, but none of the buttons on the back do. Nor does the switch for camera mode/play. Since the problem seems exotic compared to the ones above, I thought it was worth describing.

06-28-2023 09:42 PM. Ok, solved it. Inside the camera, there are pins above the winder that have contact with gold plates. One was bent, not allowing current to flow when the shutter is fired. Pics are attached. If anyone has any power issues with on and off, power winder or timer issues, this area is the place to check.
